Two new albums out today, 8/14!
Two of our hottest releases of 2007 are out:

Terrene - The Indifferent Universe - sparkling indie pop from one of Seattle's most talented songwriters, produced by Phil Ek (Built To
Spill, Modest Mouse, The Shins). Listen at Myspace and purchase downloads at iTunes music store or buy the CD direct from us at our store.

DJ Alibi - One Day - A variety of Tres Records MCs drop lyrics over the most innovative beats to come out of the underground hip-hop scene in a long time - DJ Alibi mixes latin and jazz in with classic retro J5 style beats to deliver some very refreshing sounds for the summer heat.

Listen at Myspace.

Wax Orchard
Cylconic Steel album available now!
Cyclonic Steel now available on iTunes.

Or get the full Dualdisc with 6 videos on the DVD side from the WaxO store.

Featuring vocals by B-Shorty aka Blake Lewis (#2 on American Idol), on Brotherhood of the Drum, Move On, and WTO.

Featuring vocals by Christa Wells on Cosmos.

Check Brotherhood of the Drum and Montreal for a taste of slower breakbeats.

Globalize This and Get It On bring the raw dark drum n bass you enjoyed on Synchronized Decompression.

Glitch Funk and Click Pop show a brand new glitch style that hints at where Sawka might be travelling next. Click Pop is only available for download.

This album works equally well at a lounge outside on a deck during the warm summer twilight, or late night at the club.
AriSawkaDoria signed - CD release party June 2nd
We're proud to announce the addition of AriSawkaDoria to our roster. ASD, another project featuring KJ Sawka, also has the honor of being the backing band for Blake Lewis of American Idol.

Arisawkadoria will be releasing their much anticipated debut album Chapter One, Saturday, June 2nd at Neumos in Seattle. Arisawkadoria’s performance will be part of Breaks & Freaks II, an event that provides the perfect post Burning Man palette, for the group’s first ever live surround sound presentation. Chapter One is being released exclusively in the Seattle market on June 2nd, with a national August release date still to come.

Arisawkadoria’s new album, Chapter One, and the live show experience, set a new bar for both electronic music and the outermost fringes of Jazz. The percussive blend of Kevin Sawka’s iconic D n B influenced drum work, Joe Doria’s virtuosity on the Hammond B-3 Organ, and Ari Zucker’s back from the future approach to guitar, present a welcome paradigm shift from the direction of music today. Arisawkadoria quite simply represents what is possible, in the days after tomorrow.
Sawka is on a roll
We've finished the DVD portion of KJ Sawka's upcoming release, Cyclonic Steel, and the first single, "Montreal", is getting rave reviews.
Check the mindblowing space animation here.

KJ Sawka had his biggest headlining show yet in Toronto at the end of March - selling out the El Mocambo with 600 people. He will return June 8th to an even larger venue. Thank you to the Toronto electronica community!

Also, we are really proud of Blake Lewis and his asskicking performances on American Idol. Blake appears on Cyclonic Steel under the name B Shorty. You can hear a track with some nice lyrics on KJ Sawka's Myspace page and click on "Move On", or, you can download a track with ambient vocal samples, called "WTO," right here.

Sawka has also snagged a monthly show on Bassdrive, first Monday of every month, 4-5 PM PST. You can hear the first archived show here.
